Matteo Berrettini signs shoe deal with ASICS, “Straight away felt I had found the ideal footwear”
Italian star Matteo Berrettini will wear the ASICS Gel-Resolution 8 tennis shoe after signing long term partnership with the Japanese brand
World ranked no.7 Matteo Berrettini has committed to wearing ASICS tennis shoes and will become an ASICS ambassador. The young Italian had a stand out season in 2021 including reaching the final of Wimbledon.

The Gel-Resolution 8 shoe he will be wearing are designed for baseline players that need stability and support which will suit the big hitting Italian’s game. Launched in 2020 the shoe received high praise during a Tennishead testing day which formed part of a full review of the ASICS Gel-Resolution 8.
Berrettini pointed out that ASICS are the only brand that design shoes specifically to suit different styles of play. “For me, I need a lot of stability and support as an aggressive baseline player. I tested the GEL-RESOLUTIONā¢ļø 8, and straight away felt I had found the ideal footwear to help me get to the next level.”
